I appreciate the fact that the training it gives uses a mix of different genres of music, and that it covers the stages of learning from beginner to the more advanced students. Everything is covered from the basics of understanding tablature and standard music score and from basic music theory on up to advanced theory. Once completed you'll have an excellent understanding of music theory and how to apply it to the guitar no matter what type of music you're interested in. They use easy to understand assignments, and the teacher communicates in a comfortable manner that allows for an enjoyable learning experience. I love the CDs to jam along with too. Using the CDs to have a jam session with, helps learn the songs in a fun atmosphere! This makes this instructional program unique.
What I really love about this program though, is that this company includes such great support free of charge after they have made the sale. When you purchase this instructional program, you are allowed to enter a site that is for only members, where you get to talk about how you are progressing, you can ask your questions, and even converse with others that are learning. Steve Krenz, who came up with this instructional program, is the one that gives the solutions to your questions, and he also gets in the forums on a regular basis. Which definitely helps!
In Conclusion: If you are in the market for more than just a quick lesson on how to play the guitar, the Learn & Master Guitar has to be the number 1 best program for learning guitar. It is in a category by itself. It is a bit pricier than some of the courses that are computer based, but it is the right one to get if you want to seriously learn the guitar, so it will be worth the cost.
